Travelers looking for alternative modes of transportation during this service suspension will not have special bus services to replace the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner. However, options such as FlixBus or Greyhound, which operate daily services between San Diego and Los Angeles, remain available for those needing to travel.
It’s important to note that additional rail service suspensions are scheduled for January 25-26, 2024, as part of ongoing maintenance and improvements in the area. While there have been wind-related advisories for potential service interruptions due to fires in Los Angeles and Altadena, no advisories were in effect as of Friday morning.
