San Diego – Two drivers have been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident involving an electric bike in Clairemont. The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. on March 29, in the 6900 block of Balboa Avenue near Hathaway Street.
The victim, a 31-year-old man, was riding an electric bicycle when he was struck by two vehicles while attempting to make a left turn from the bike lane into three lanes of traffic. Initial reports indicated he was hit by only one vehicle. Unfortunately, neither driver stopped to assist the injured cyclist, who was left on the roadway. He was later transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
The suspects involved in this tragic incident were identified as Kamille Agustin, 27, who was driving a white 2021 Dodge Charger, and Anthony Phan, 23, who drove a gray Mercedes E53. Both individuals turned themselves in to police traffic investigators on Wednesday and have been booked into County Jail on charges of felony hit and run causing injury or death. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities strive to gather more details related to the incident.

He was transported to a hospital for treatment, although his current condition remains unknown. Unfortunately, there is no clear description of the driver or vehicle involved in this incident, and it is still under investigation.
