Spectacular fireworks illuminate the night sky of San Diego Bay on the Fourth of July.
San Diego County is set to host a dynamic Fourth of July celebration, featuring fireworks, parades, and various family-friendly activities. Notable events include an 18-minute fireworks display over the San Diego Bay, community festivities, and a wide range of entertainment options across the county. Families can look forward to celebrations at local venues like SeaWorld, LEGOLAND, and the San Diego County Fair, ensuring an enjoyable and memorable holiday for residents and visitors alike.
San Diego County is gearing up for a vibrant Fourth of July celebration with a wide array of events including fireworks, parades, festivals, and dance parties. As the nation marks its independence, residents and visitors can look forward to various festivities across the county, providing family-friendly entertainment for all ages.
The highlight of the festivities will be an impressive 18-minute choreographed fireworks display starting at 9 p.m. over the San Diego Bay. Prime viewing locations for this spectacular show include Shelter Island, Harbor Island, North Embarcadero, and South Embarcadero. In addition to the bay’s grand display, individual communities throughout the county are hosting their own fireworks events, ensuring a lively evening for all.
Families can enjoy a plethora of activities leading up to the fireworks. The San Diego County Fair will light up the night with fireworks at 9 p.m. from the Corona Grandstand Stage, with the fairgrounds opening at 11 a.m. LEGOLAND California will present the “Bricktastic Firework Show” at 8:45 p.m. and will also host activities throughout the day for all ages.
SeaWorld will enhance the excitement with extended fireworks displays from July 3-6, featuring special themed shows and animal encounters on July 4. Imperial Beach is set to host a lively Fourth of July celebration featuring live music at two different sessions – from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., culminating with fireworks at 9 p.m.
Coronado will kick off its festivities early, starting at 7:30 a.m. with entertainment and food vendors, leading into a parade at 10 a.m. The day’s lineup also includes concerts and a Frog-X aerial demonstration, concluding with fireworks at night.
In Santee, a free event will feature food vendors, a patriotic ceremony, and a fireworks show starting at 9 p.m., with free shuttle services available to attendees. El Cajon will host fireworks at Kennedy Park at 9 p.m. and will offer free activities beginning at 3 p.m. Meanwhile, Scripps Ranch is set to have a full day of activities with a 10k race, a 2-mile fun run, and a parade, all themed for the occasion, starting at 10 a.m.
Ramona will celebrate independence with a free picnic followed by fireworks at Olive Peirce Middle School, starting at 4 p.m. The fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m. Julian will hold its annual parade at noon, with pre-parade activities starting at 9:30 a.m.
Chula Vista’s 4th Fest will feature a free fireworks display at the Chula Vista Elite Training Center, with gates opening at 7 p.m. and fireworks starting at 9 p.m. Rancho Bernardo is hosting an all-day event beginning at 9 a.m., culminating in evening fireworks at 9 p.m.
Vista will celebrate with its 57th Annual Independence Day Celebration, kicking off at 7 a.m. with live music starting at 5 p.m. and concluding with fireworks at 9 p.m. San Marcos will host celebrations at Bradley Park beginning at 5 p.m., featuring carnival games and fireworks starting at 9 p.m.
In Poway, festivities will recreate a “turn-of-the-20th-century-style” event at Old Poway Park, offering entertainment, crafts, and games. Old Town San Diego State Historic Park will also host an old-fashioned Fourth of July celebration starting at 11 a.m.
Lastly, the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce will host a Fourth of July Celebration & Drone Light Show at Ingold Sports Park, starting at 6 p.m., with the drone show set to entertain at 9 p.m. Each of these events promises to create lasting memories as San Diego County celebrates this year’s Fourth of July.
