The unique badge design for the San Diego Comic-Con 2024 showcases a theme from Dexter: Resurrection.
The San Diego Comic-Con is gearing up as badge shipping has started for attendees, with a unique design featuring ‘Dexter: Resurrection’. Open Registration for the 2025 event is set for a new date in November, and participants must be aware of the registration process and safety measures. The excitement surrounding the event, along with the possibility of a dedicated panel for ‘Dexter: Resurrection’, adds to the anticipation as fans prepare for this pop culture gathering.
Badges for the San Diego Comic-Con 2024 have commenced shipping to attendees, marking the countdown to one of the largest pop culture conventions in the world. Shipping began first for attendees, with professional and press badges following closely behind. Attendees can check the status of their badge shipment by logging into their Member IDs on the Comic-Con website.
Badges will be distributed via USPS, and attendees are advised to take precautions when sharing photos of their badges. Specifically, they should cover their names in any images shared publicly to prevent identity theft and potential bans from future events. This year’s badge design features a theme from “Dexter: Resurrection”, illustrating a blood-spattered motif that harks back to the popularity of the show during its original airing in the early 2010s. Many avid fans of the show will likely recall the wide array of Dexter-themed merchandise and lanyards that became commonplace during those years.
While no official announcements have been made, there is an anticipation surrounding the possibility of a panel for “Dexter: Resurrection” at the event, reflecting the ongoing interest in the series.
Looking ahead, Open Registration for Comic-Con 2025 is scheduled to start on November 23, 2024, which is a shift from the previously set date of October 26. This change comes as part of efforts to improve the system’s infrastructure, aiming to enhance the reliability of the registration process. Those who purchased badges during the earlier halted Open Registration will maintain their purchases, ensuring they are not left out in future years.
In order to register, participants must possess a valid Member ID, which can be created before the registration sale begins. Badges for single days at Comic-Con will cost between $60 to $80, depending on the specific day, with additional handling fees applicable.
To secure a badge, attendees are advised to enter the waiting room between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM PT on registration day. It is important to note that early arrival in the waiting room does not grant any advantage in the selection process. For those sharing a device, multiple users should log in using different browsers.
Once placed in the waiting room, members will be randomly selected to enter the registration phase for a span of 15 minutes. During this time, they can register for themselves and up to two additional individuals, provided that the correct Member IDs are entered. Payments will be processed within 72 hours post-registration, with an emphasis on preventing badge fraud. Therefore, sharing registration links or details is strongly discouraged.
Accepted payment methods for badges include VISA, Mastercard, and American Express. However, it is crucial to note that payment splitting is not permitted during the registration process. Badges will be mailed to the address listed in the Member ID account, and international attendees may select an onsite pickup option, providing further convenience.
With these updates, attendees and prospective participants should prepare accordingly for the upcoming conventions, keeping track of badges, registration dates, and safety measures to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience at San Diego Comic-Con.
