San Diego – Artist Patrick Ballesteros is set to return to San Diego Comic-Con 2025, where he will showcase a variety of new exclusive artworks and commissions. Fans can look forward to unique items that highlight his signature nostalgic and whimsical style, which brings pop culture icons to life with charm and humor.
Ballesteros will debut a selection of exclusives, mini originals, and commission opportunities during the convention. Among the highlights is a limited-edition 9″x 27″ pennant flag titled “WELCOME FRIENDS!” that features beloved characters from the Gaslamp area, designed reminiscent of vintage sports banners. This exclusive item will be limited to just 400 pieces and will be available for purchase at the price of $20 at booth #DD-08 in Artist Alley.
Another new artwork, “Are You In or Out?”, is an 11″x14″ print of characters from the popular Apple series, set to be sold for $30. This print is made on fine art metallic paper, promising to be a collectible for fans of the series and Ballesteros’ work alike.
Before the convention kicks off, Ballesteros will host a pre-con Pop-Up event on Tuesday, July 22, from 3 PM to 6 PM at Mnemonic Coffee, located at 2604 Fifth Ave, San Diego, CA 92103. This event offers fans an early chance to engage with the artist and explore his new creations prior to the convention’s opening.
In addition to his exclusive artworks, Ballesteros will offer custom commission spots, with 25 spots opening for booking starting on Tuesday, April 8 at 10 AM PT. Attendees interested in securing a commission can do so by emailing [email protected] with the subject line “SDCC 2025 Commission Request.” Once a request is made, Ballesteros will respond with details regarding pricing and the commission process. If all available spots fill up, a waitlist will be created for additional requests.
Once a commission rate is provided, there will be a 24-hour payment window to finalize the commission; otherwise, the spot will be offered to the next person on the waitlist. Ballesteros is known for personally responding to each inquiry related to commissions, ensuring fans feel connected to the artist throughout the process.
