San Diego will host a special celebration for the 30th anniversary of A Goofy Movie, featuring multiple screenings and interactive experiences for fans. Attendees can look forward to exclusive giveaways and an engaging movie-watching experience at AMC Mission Valley. Tickets go on sale in April, catering to both D23 Gold Members and General Members.
San Diego will be the site of a special celebration marking the 30th anniversary of A Goofy Movie, as part of the D23 On the Road event series. The festivities will kick off on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the AMC Mission Valley located at 1640 Camino Del Rio N. Attendees can look forward to three screenings of the beloved animated film at 3:30 PM, 6:30 PM, and a recently added 10 PM session.
This anniversary celebration is part of a larger cross-country tour, featuring a total of 21 stops throughout the United States. Every moment of the San Diego screening promises to be a full-fledged Powerline-level experience, filled with interactive elements and unexpected surprises designed to enhance the viewing experience for fans.
All guests attending this special event will receive an Activation Kit, which is tailored to elevate the movie-watching experience. Each ticket also includes exclusive giveaways such as a limited-edition Possum Park pennant, a Powerline concert ticket accompanied by a lanyard, a commemorative Goofy Movie pin, and themed photo opportunities aimed at creating lasting memories of this milestone celebration.
Tickets for the event will go on sale starting Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 10 AM PT. Pricing is set to cater to both D23 Gold Members and General Members. D23 Gold Members can purchase tickets for $35 plus a $3 processing fee, while General Members will be charged $45 plus the same processing fee. Each member is allowed to reserve tickets for themselves and up to four guests, making it convenient for families and friends to attend together. Children under the age of three may attend without a ticket provided they are seated on a guardian’s lap; however, only ticketed guests will be eligible for the giveaways.
To ensure a smooth admission process, membership verification will be required both at the time of ticket purchase and upon entry to the event. It is also important to note that all ticket sales are final, with no cancellations, refunds, or transfers permitted. A COVID-19 policy is in place stating that any ticketed members or their guests who do not attend personally will forfeit all associated experiences and giveaways.
