San Diego – CODA, a company renowned for its high-quality alternative movie posters and art prints, will debut at the San Diego Comic-Con 2024, from July 26 to July 29. This event will highlight exclusive prints and feature appearances from several notable artists at Booth #4900.

The organization, co-founded by Rob Jones, Ken Harman, and Jenni Jones, has rapidly gained recognition within the pop culture community for its art-forward approach to prints and records. Among its latest offerings is a special edition for John Carpenter’s Lost Themes 10th Anniversary Expanded Edition on vinyl. This exclusive release, called “Crimson Mist,” will be available as a 12-inch vinyl in a striking red smoke color, alongside a transparent red 7-inch record titled “Beware.” This upgraded edition includes two previously unreleased tracks, “Cruisin’ With Mr. Scratch” and “Dominator,” featured from the original recording session, alongside new artwork from artist Greg Ruth and expanded liner notes.

At the Comic-Con event, attendees will have the opportunity to explore an eclectic collection of posters and letterpress prints from various acclaimed artists, including Eric Powell, Akiko Stehrenberger, and Tyler Stout. In addition to displaying these works, CODA has exciting plans for artist signings at their booth throughout the event.

Among the highly anticipated upcoming releases showcased at Comic-Con is a screen print for the 1979 film Caligula, created by artist Bill Sienkiewicz, which will be available in both regular and gold foil variants. CODA will also offer screen printed posters for Becky Cloonan’s Somna. Fans of Cloonan can meet her at the CODA booth for a signing event scheduled for July 26, from 12 PM to 1 PM.

In terms of print specifics, the CODA Exclusive Print for Somna will measure 18 inches by 24 inches, produced as a hand-numbered edition limited to 150 copies, printed on Neenah Epic Black Paper featuring red glow-in-the-dark inks. Meanwhile, the DSTLRY Exclusive Print for Somna will also be an 18-inch by 24-inch screen print, limited to 50 copies and printed on Mirri Black Foil Paper, similarly utilizing red glow-in-the-dark inks.

The San Diego Comic-Con, a major annual event for fans of comics, movies, and pop culture, presents a unique platform for organizations like CODA to connect with enthusiasts and showcase their artistry. The convention draws thousands of visitors from around the world, eager to participate in discussions, signings, and view exclusive merchandise from niche markets.

As CODA makes its official appearance at this year’s Comic-Con, it aims to establish itself further within the realms of film art and collectability, appealing to both collectors and casual fans alike with its artistic interpretations of beloved cultural icons.
